Recently I've been on a friending spree, brought on by meeting delightful new people at Portus, and by wishing I'd met some fabulous new people at Terminus - and along the way, I've friended a couple of people I didn't really know because they had friended me.

I'm not terribly strict about friending; if you read me, or read & love the stories I love, or share a passion for Severus Snape, I am happy to have you on my f-list. My only caveat is that you must be 18 or older, because I post NC-17 material under my f-lock. There are some people who friended me a long time ago who have been patiently waiting for me to friend them back, which I will do when they turn 18. That's just my rule, and it's only fair, to those who have waited patiently, for me to uphold it across the board. So if you get a message from LJ that I de-friended you, it's not because I don't like you; it's most likely because I found out or have reason to suspect you are not yet 18 years old.

Love to all~

[info]sbrande complained that the castle layout was hard to read, so I changed it.  For you, Sonia-love!

(Well, okay -- I thought it was hard to read, as well.)

The new layout is a tribute to the Muse, Circe-bless-'er!

Wow - it just took me two hours to catch up on all your doings on LJ. Hugs to them as wants 'em!

I've been a bad Subversa. Neglectful, demanding, needy, insecure, and unforthcoming. I shall try to do better.

Last night I wrote for 9 straight hours and completed Shug's birthday story. Two more chapters shall be posted, presently.

SubHub is spending the night in a hotel in the town hosting the local Renaissance Faire, preparatory to spending the day there tomorrow; I hope to spend the time well, in outlining the remaining three six chapters of The Love You Take. Using Subversa FanFic Math®, the three major sections I envision will require a minimum of six chapters to finish telling the story.

Much love to all,

~s

Thank you.

Thank you for donating your time. You all have lives, yet you carve out time so that we can share our favorite stories, so that some of us can be thrilled by being nominated, so that a very few can experience the joy of victory, and so that every one of us can have the opportunity of reading stories that are new to us and discovering new treasures.

Thank you for your your fairness and openness. You tell us what is going on. You are willing to let us see your process, to admit when you do not know the answer to problems, and to solicit (and listen to) opinions when issues arise. You follow the rules, even if it means disappointing a friend whose story didn't make the cut.

Thank you for your patience. We've all been disappointed. Either we have stories nominated that didn't win, or our stories haven't made the cut, or things we have nominated on behalf of others haven't. Yet you bear our disappointment with grace and kindness.

As a member of the fandom, I thank you all. I - and we - would be much less without you.

I found this posted on [info]annietalbot 's LJ, and I encourage you to take it and post it on your LJ. The SSHG Awards mods put a huge amount of work into making our very own fandom awards work, and I think it would be a nice gesture of thanks and support.

We have a significant amount of snow on the ground for North Texas and are, for that reason, shorthanded at work -- but my boss has provided home made Godiva hot chocolate, made with MILK. GAH.

How could life be bad in the face of such largesse?

...I'm working on [info]yanniconny's meme. It's tough.

[info]dacian_goddess, my darling, I find that I lack the strength of my convictions. I can't make myself change all my LJ colours to match my beautiful icons -- the greatness of all the pink is too much for me.

I am not worthy to wield the pink.

Shug - aka [info]sshg316 asked me to post a general notice to let y'all know that her Internet connexion is wonky. It's only working sporadically, right now. Her e-mail is working intermittently, so if you have her e-mail address, you may be able contact her that way. Let's all hope Mr Shug can fix the problem, 'cuz it's almost time to post the results of the SSHG Awards, Classics Round!

Do we know when we get the DVD of OoTP?

Is there a way for me to post an MP3 on my LJ that someone could download?

My beloved ones, I would like to introduce you to a newcomer in our midst. She's not entirely a newcomer, because she has been reading and reviewing SSHG for some time. I believe her nick is different from archive to archive, but it is always a reference to Richard III. She loves the Potions master, has the good taste to like my stories , and she has just written her first multi-chaptered story from one of the Potter_Place prompts - and as her beta, I can tell you it is good.

Without further ado, let me introduce [info]dickgloucester, a true lover of SSHG who is looking for a community to share her interests and to receive support for her writing bug addiction jones hobby.  I would count it as a favour if you were to drop by her LJ and say hello.  Thank you!

Welcome, [info]dickgloucester

No, I'm not truly finished mourning - I may always mourn Book 7 of the Harry Potter series - but I am finished wallowing. I'm ready to move on, as evinced by my wallowing in colour - and you may blame sshg316 for introducing me to this fabulous colour palette!

SubHub made it home at about 3:30 PM on Thursday (squee!), and I will begin to pick his brain for ideas about my post-DH SSHG story. I'm kind of excited!
